Project Engineer - Structural

Brandow & Johnston is seeking a Project Engineer for their structural engineering department in Los Angeles, CA. The role involves assisting with the design of new buildings, seismic evaluations, and retrofit projects, as well as tenant improvement. Responsibilities include overseeing design, conducting site observations, writing reports, providing calculations, and mentoring design engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Structural Engineering
• Two years of professional work experience in related field
• Professional engineering license in the State of California to practice Civil Engineering
• Intimate knowledge of general engineering principles, statics, dynamics of structures, and general engineering design
• Ability to perform increasingly complex engineering tasks with general supervision
• Ability to read and produce civil and/or structural drawings
• Ability to review civil and/or structural specifications
