Technical Trainer

Black Box is seeking an experienced Technical Trainer to build, develop, and elevate the next generation of electrical and low voltage technicians. The ideal candidate is a seasoned electrical professional with a passion for teaching, strong communication skills, and the ability to translate complex technical concepts into practical, engaging learning experiences.

Requirements

• Conduct technical interviews and skills assessments for electrical and infrastructure technician candidates.
• Deliver classroom, virtual, and hands-on instruction covering electrical systems, tools, and low voltage troubleshooting.
• Create, update, and maintain training materials, lesson plans, lab exercises, and technical manuals.
• Ensure all training content aligns with evolving industry standards, technologies, and Black Box best practices.
• Set up, monitor, and maintain training tools, equipment, and lab environments to ensure safety and operational readiness.
• Maintain accurate training records, attendance logs, certifications, and evaluation documentation.
• Provide coaching, mentorship, and technical guidance to trainees throughout their learning journey.
• Identify skill gaps and tailor instruction to individual and group learning needs.
• Foster a positive, safety-first learning environment that emphasizes craftsmanship, accountability, and continuous improvement.
