Job Description
Black & Veatch is seeking an Associate Electrical Engineer - Power System Protection to develop protective setpoints per industry standards, best practices, and client requirements. The role involves working with system modeling software programs and developing downloadable setpoint files on multiple proprietary relay manufacturer software platforms.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
- 1 year related work experience
- Understanding of basic Protection & Control design concepts
- Experience in development of protective relay settings
- Familiarity with system modeling software programs
- Knowledge of IEC 61850 and its implementation
- Familiarity with commonly deployed protective relays in substation environments
- Familiarity with NERC-PRC standards and other commonly utilized industry standards
