Crusoe - 3665 - Carpenter - Helper 3

The job is for a Carpenter Helper 3 position that assists journeymen in planning, lay-out, and installing forms, rebar, embeds, and anchor bolts for the installation of concrete structures. The job requires at least 2 years of experience working in the carpenter craft or similar craft as a helper or a combination of work experience and training, and a working knowledge of the carpenter craft.

Requirements

• Assist journeyman in planning, lay-out and installing forms, rebar, embeds and anchor bolts for installation of concrete structures in accordance with all applicable plans, specifications, codes and industry standards.
• Use appropriate hand (i e hammer, pliers) and power tools (i e skill saw, concrete vibrator) to properly measure, cut, assemble and install forms, rebar, embeds and anchor bolts.
• Construct built-in-place or prefabricated wooden forms, according to specifications for molding concrete structures.
• Participate in all safety related processes and programs as requested.
• Report all accidents and near misses to supervisor; participate in investigation process as needed.
• Use effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Add, subtract, multiply and divide whole numbers and fractions rapidly and accurately.
• Listen to co-workers suggestions, safety concerns, and recommendations giving full attention to what they are saying and take the time to understand the points being made, asking questions and providing feedback when appropriate.
• Coordinate work with other crafts and co-workers on the job.
• Actively participate in on-the-job training and mentoring opportunities with co-workers in your craft when provided.
• Produce quality work, meeting requirements of plans, specifications and industry standards.
