The Manufacturing Software Engineer will support the manufacturing floor at Blackline Safety, developing integrated software solutions to connect data sources and drive productivity improvements.
Requirements
- Administer development, maintenance, and improvements to existing in-house manufacturing software and database implementations
- Develop new software solutions to improve data acquisition
- Design and support automated manufacturing test software
- Develop and lead implementation of best-practices
- Develop process around change control for live software implementations
- Engage with Product Development, Quality, and other disciplines to ensure root-cause analyses and resolution of issues in product or process are completed
- Coordinate with developers of electronic interface hardware and mechanical interfaces to test and interface with product
- Investigate and find root cause of product test failures and drive resolution to improve product yield, quality, and throughput
- Lead initiatives to source new technologies to deliver gains in productivity, capacity, efficiency, and quality
- Support manufacturing readiness and required technical staffing needs for new product introduction launches, interfacing with Product Development to ensure new products meet production test requirements and that manufacturing product test deliverables are met
- Drive standardization and improvement in manufacturing software usage
- Manage development of documentation, procedures, and processes to standardize and improve manufacturing test operations
