Leveraged Finance Credit Research, Associate

This role is an Associate position within the Leveraged Finance research team in New York. The successful candidate will work directly supporting senior investment research analysts to assess primary and secondary investment opportunities within the liquid credit leveraged finance business. Responsibilities include conducting company research, preparing financial models and valuation analyses, and monitoring portfolio investments.

Requirements

• 2-3 years of prior experience in investing, investment banking, transaction advisory services, strategy consulting, or corporate valuation, and/or an educational degree in economics, finance, or accounting
• Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint
• Technical skills – ability to understand and develop financial models for companies
• Communication skills – strong written and oral presentation skills, with the ability to effectively formulate and articulate opinions persuasively
• Analytical and critical thinking – ability to identify and articulate key investment considerations and risks
