Blackstone is seeking an experienced insurance regulatory professional to serve as an internal and external subject matter expert for its insurance clients, supporting internal analysis of assets originated for the business' insurance clients, and assisting those clients in same. The ideal candidate will bring deep practical expertise, strong industry knowledge, and excellent communication skills.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in insurance, with experience in alternative investments and private credit.
- Comprehensive understanding of alternative investment vehicles, including private equity, real estate, credit and other relevant products.
- Thorough understanding of NAIC and accounting policy workstreams, strong ability to communicate same to non-insurance regulatory audiences.
- Excellent collaboration skills and proven ability to work effectively across external-facing client relations and business development functions and internal-facing groups (e.g., finance, legal, operations, etc.).
- Exceptional analytical skills, as the candidate will be responsible for evaluating complex alternative investment products and finding innovative solutions to regulatory questions when appropriate.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effectively interacting with clients and colleagues, articulating complex investment concepts in a straightforward manner, and building strong professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
