Job Description
The Preschool/Toddler Floating Teacher supports the care, supervision and educational programs for toddlers and pre-school children. The Floating teacher substitutes in classrooms as needed to maintain required ratios and provide a safe and supportive learning environment for children.
Requirements
- California Child Development Teacher Permit or higher level
- Associate’s Degree or higher in Child Development, Early Childhood Education, Education, or closely related field
- Possess a minimum of three (3) semester units in early childhood development with a focus on infant and toddler development
- One (1) year experience in a classroom or group setting in a licensed childcare center serving children under five years of age
- First Aid Pediatric CPR Certification
- Valid California Driver’s license and adequate automobile insurance coverage
- Criminal background clearance
- Immunization requirements including pertussis, measles, and flu, Covid-19 vaccination, clear health exam, and proof of TB clearance
