Job Description
Bloodworks Northwest has an opening for a Medical Laboratory Technologist I (Technologist I) Per-diem position in the Overlake Transfusion Lab department. The role involves promoting and advancing the mission of Bloodworks by achieving excellence in Transfusion Service and providing exceptional customer and transfusion safety to patients, hospitals, and patient care partners.
Requirements
- Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree in clinical laboratory science or chemical, physical, or biological sciences
- Current certification as Blood Bank Technologist (BB-ASCP), Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS-ASCP), Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT-ASC, P), or equivalent
- Immediate eligibility for certification as BB(ASCP) Technologist, MLS(ASCP), or MLT(ASCP) or equivalent
- Successful completion of an immunohematology course through an accredited institution
- BB(ASCP) and/or MLS(ASCP) certification is strongly desired
- Prior laboratory testing experience is strongly preferred
