Job Description
We are looking for an Economic Data News Editor to join our Asia-Pacific Economic Data News team, focusing primarily on Japan's economic data and releases. In this role, you will play a key part in delivering fast, accurate coverage of Japan's major economic indicators for a global audience.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience in journalism, economics, finance, data analysis, or product development
- A working knowledge of Excel VBA
- Fluency in written and spoken English and Japanese
- Ability to stay calm and precise under deadline pressure
- Curiosity about how economies work, how data drives decisions, and how new technologies like AI can improve reporting
