Job Description
The ESG Risk Officer - Risk Advisory role is responsible for supporting Bloomberg's ESG ratings offering, ensuring the Governance, Risk and Control Frameworks are operating effectively, and maintaining and updating such frameworks as approved by the relevant Board. The role involves developing and refining risk management frameworks, risk reporting, and partner with Compliance to ensure control and process activities comply with relevant regulations. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of experience in risk management, data management, technology, corporate governance, regulatory and operational risk, or information and security risk, and a Bachelor's degree or higher in Finance, Economics, Information Systems, or related discipline.
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in risk management, data management, technology, corporate governance, regulatory and operational risk, or information and security risk
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Finance, Economics, Information Systems, or related discipline
- Recognised risk certification (i.e. PRM or FRM) preferred
- Strong understanding of fundamentals of risk management, control assessment and/or control testing activities
- Demonstrated ability to influence and advise senior stakeholders across different teams
- Knowledge of the regulatory environment and key regulatory regimes, including basic understanding of EU and UK regulatory landscapes
- Ability to communicate complex regulatory, model, and risk concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Proven intellectual curiosity through professional training, advanced degree or professional impact
- Prior experience in either a 1st or 2nd line of defence capacity
- Excellent time management skills and ability to deliver work on assigned schedules
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to act decisively and independently to resolve sophisticated issues
