US Economic Data News Editor Location Washington. The position is responsible for leading real-time coverage of major US economic releases, writing and publishing clear, market-sensitive headlines and analysis, and collaborating with reporters, data analysts, and engineers to strengthen Bloomberg’s real-time data capabilities.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience in financial journalism, economics, markets, or a closely related field, with demonstrated analytical or editorial responsibility
- A solid understanding of US macroeconomic indicators and why they matter to financial markets
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, including comfort working with large structured datasets under deadline
- Practical Python experience, particularly in working with structured data or automating workflows
- Clear, concise written English
