Summer Camp Activity Specialist: Biking

We are seeking a friendly, reliable outdoor enthusiast to provide high-quality recreation experience for the Blue Mountain Adventure Camp. The Biking Activity Specialist oversees all biking activities at camp, the equipment associated with biking, and the safety of the activity & participants.

Requirements

• Must be at least 16 years old, but 18 years old or older is preferred.
• A strong enthusiasm for outdoors and recreation.
• Specific required experience, interest, and skills in facilitating Biking (pump track, BMX, mountain biking, cross-country biking)
• A current Mountain Bike Instructor or related certification is preferred. OR Ability and willingness to obtain a certification.
• Must be able to ride confidently on intermediate to advanced bike trails (mountain bike and/or cross-country)
• Knowledge and ability to do some bike maintenance.
• Ability to coach & teach bike skills from early beginners to advanced riders.
• Possesses the ability to work both within a team and independently without direct supervision.
• Strong communication skills both written and verbally.
• Extraordinary ability to provide outstanding guest service.
• Enjoys supervising and directing a specific group activity.
• Enjoys working with children.
