Avionics Mechanical Design and Analysis Engineer II (TS/SCI Clearance Required)

Blue Origin is seeking an Avionics Mechanical Design and Analysis Engineer II to join their team in the Greater Seattle Area. The role involves designing, analyzing, and testing avionics enclosures for electronic components on various spacecrafts. The engineer will be part of the In-Space Systems business unit and will work on programs that shape the future of Blue Origin.

Requirements

• B.S. in Mechanical, Aerospace or similar engineering discipline
• 2+ years designing electro-mechanical avionics assemblies
• Strong 3D CAD skills (especially Creo/Pro-E)
• Experience with GD&T implementation (ASME Y14.5)
• Background in ruggedized electronics protection
• Knowledge of PCBA integration, manufacturing, and connector selection
• Experience with EMI shielding, thermal management, and structural protection
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
