As a Sr. Machinist/Programmer Turbo, you will set up, develop, and operate complex machining processes for Turbo Machine components supporting assembly of flight hardware for various spaceflight systems.
Requirements
- Minimum of 15 years in manufacturing working hands on in an aerospace environment
- Minimum of 7 years working with multi-axis lathes and high speed 5 axis mills producing complex parts with tight tolerances
- Minimum of 7 years working with hardened metals
- Ability to interpret engineering models, drawings, specifications, written work instructions, and test procedures
- Extensive experience with Mazak, Okuma, Fanuc, Heidenhain, Siemens, and other CNC controls
- CAM software experience, preferably Siemens NX
- Excellent blueprint reading skills including GD&T per ASME Y14.5M-1994 standard
- Ability to work effectively with a strong work ethic and close attention to detail in a fast-paced dynamic team environment
- Basic computer skills such as Windows, Microsoft Office, etc.
- Extremely customer focused with strong verbal and written communication skills
- A demonstrated ability to work cooperatively with teams of diverse skills across large geographic distances
- A continuous improvement mindset
- Work off-shift, extended hours, overtime, and weekends if/when necessary
- Intense curiosity for understanding the details of our business and how to optimize it
- Exceptional organizational and analytical skills and a proven ability to drive complex projects with minimal oversight
