Sr. Machinist/Programmer Turbo

As a Sr. Machinist/Programmer Turbo, you will set up, develop, and operate complex machining processes for Turbo Machine components supporting assembly of flight hardware for various spaceflight systems.

Requirements

• Minimum of 15 years in manufacturing working hands on in an aerospace environment
• Minimum of 7 years working with multi-axis lathes and high speed 5 axis mills producing complex parts with tight tolerances
• Minimum of 7 years working with hardened metals
• Ability to interpret engineering models, drawings, specifications, written work instructions, and test procedures
• Extensive experience with Mazak, Okuma, Fanuc, Heidenhain, Siemens, and other CNC controls
• CAM software experience, preferably Siemens NX
• Excellent blueprint reading skills including GD&T per ASME Y14.5M-1994 standard
• Ability to work effectively with a strong work ethic and close attention to detail in a fast-paced dynamic team environment
• Basic computer skills such as Windows, Microsoft Office, etc.
• Extremely customer focused with strong verbal and written communication skills
• A demonstrated ability to work cooperatively with teams of diverse skills across large geographic distances
• A continuous improvement mindset
• Work off-shift, extended hours, overtime, and weekends if/when necessary
• Intense curiosity for understanding the details of our business and how to optimize it
• Exceptional organizational and analytical skills and a proven ability to drive complex projects with minimal oversight
