Join Blue Origin's team of problem solvers to develop reusable, safe, and low-cost space vehicles and systems. This role supports the development and operations of New Glenn, a single-configuration, heavy-lift orbital launch vehicle.
Requirements
- Design, develop, and test primary and secondary metallic and composite structures
- Create 3D models, detail part drawings, assemblies, installations, and interface control documents
- Support configuration development, run trade studies, and develop concepts
- Experienced with Creo (Pro/E), CATIA, Wildfire 5 or greater, Windchill 10
- Experienced with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (ASME Y14.5) practices
- Familiarity with ASME Y14.100 and Y14.41
- Create and manage product tree structures in CAD
- Understanding of design fundamentals and material and process practices
- Provide guidance and on-site support for manufacturing, production, and integration activities
- Coach, mentor and technically assist others
- Takes ownership of work and is passionate about the mission
- Able to keep up in a fast-paced environment while also maintaining the highest quality
- Highly organized with excellent technical, written, and verbal communication skills
