Thermal Hardware Design Engineer III - Cold Plates and Heat Exchangers - Lunar Permanence

We envision millions of people living and working in space for the benefit of Earth. This role is part of the Lunar Permanence business unit, which develops Blue Origin's Blue Moon landers and related products. The Thermal Hardware Design Engineer III - Cold Plates and Heat Exchangers will contribute to the definition and development of spacecraft thermal control systems.

Requirements

• Minimum of a B.S. degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering
• 5 years of relevant Thermal Engineering experience
• Strong grasp of heat transfer and fluid system fundamentals
• Familiarity with heat exchangers, cold plates, and other common spacecraft hardware
• Demonstrated experience designing, sizing, building, and testing hardware
• Understanding of aerospace hardware verification and validation process
• Experience with CAD software; preferably Creo
• Familiarity with computational fluid dynamic (CFD) simulation methods for component-level analysis
• Demonstrated experience working in cross-functional teams to deliver results
