Accounting Intern

The Staff Accountant Intern role within the Risk Partners Office is designed to provide hands-on experience in supporting monthly financial procedures and internal controls. The intern will assist with the financial cycle, preparation of reports, and compliance activities, utilizing the agency’s established quality standards. It's a learning opportunity in accounting and finance.

Requirements

• Prepare and post General Ledger journal entries.
• Manage the monthly fixed asset process – additions/disposals/reconciliation.
• Prepare assigned Balance Sheet Reconciliations.
• Assist with preparation of monthly financial reports.
• Prepare actual expense vs. budget follow-up reports.
• Prepare documentation for internal and external auditors.
• Support yearly review of internal controls & policies.
