Data Scientist

BlueLabs is seeking a Data Scientist to join their team. The ideal candidate will have experience using data-driven solutions to improve social outcomes and a multidisciplinary approach to problem-solving. The team develops deep expertise and uses data to inform strategic advice to clients.

Requirements

• Proven track record using data-driven solutions to improve social outcomes
• Experience developing a variety of skills, including strategic thinking, complex data analysis, and user-centric thinking
• Ability to anticipate questions from stakeholders and remain objective in approach
• Experience deriving value from imperfect data and pushing the emergency stop button
• Strong understanding of statistical programming language such as R or Python
• Expertise building predictive models using regression and machine learning techniques
• Ability to manipulate data with SQL
• Proven experience creating analytics output within a production-oriented team
• Ability to effectively communicate and present technical concepts to a non-technical audience
• Knowledge of experimental design and causal inference
• Experience creating and delivering informative and engaging data visualizations
