Job Description
The MES Engineer will provide expertise in technical operation of the company and Lean Projects at BMT, responsible for shop floor systems, manufacturing applications, machine integration.
Requirements
- PLC Interface development and ongoing system support.
- Modify and create SQL queries and stored procedures to create reports and functions.
- Drive standardization across MES processes and systems throughout plant network.
- Provide technical support and consultation for new implementation of manufacturing execution system (MES).
- Develop new techniques to connect legacy equipment to modern infrastructure.
- Create IoT applications that run on-premise and in the cloud.
- Develop KPIs, metrics and other monitoring tools to track Industry 4.0 production environments.
- Research and implement cost effective upgrades to the equipment and manufacturing applications.
- Assist on developing testing for new functionality and rollout of products and services.
- Work with colleagues to identify improvement requests, gather requirements and assist on prioritizing work.
- Collaborate with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Operations, Quality, IT and other departments to identify opportunities for improvement of existing processes.
