Environmental Management Intern (Fall 2026)

The Environmental Management Intern supports the Environmental Management team in achieving key department objectives, including environmental compliance reporting, sustainability projects, and environmental training. The intern assists with data collection, analysis, and calculations, and develops and publishes environmental news articles and newsletters. Responsibilities include administering data in Environmental Compliance Reporting software, coordinating and assisting in the development of environmental training courses, and maintaining the Environmental intranet site and communication.

Requirements

• Degree in Environmental Science or Environmental Engineering
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (experience with advanced functions such as VLOOKUP, macros, etc. preferred)
• Basic knowledge of US federal environmental regulations (CAA, CWA, RCRA, etc.)
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
• Effective written and oral communication skills
• Motivated team member who can work well independently and in teams
• Possess a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 (not just in major)
• Enrolled student status at an accredited four-year college or university in the United States
• Completed at least 30 credit hours at time of application
• Ability to work full-time on-site (40 hours/week)
