The BMW Group is offering a PhD position in efficient simulation workflows of thin-walled components with trimmed IGA solids. The PhD program is part of the ProMotion program, which aims to bridge the gap between doctoral studies and a career in the industry. The team specializes in virtualizing passive safety and implementing new technologies to maximize efficiency and quality of workflows.
Requirements
- University degree in mechanical engineering, mathematics, computational mechanics, or a comparable field of study.
- Knowledge of programming languages (preferably Fortran and Python).
- Knowledge of FE methods and LS-DYNA is desirable.
- Business fluent German and English skills.
