Job Description
BNY is seeking a Data Governance Architect to join their Finance Data Governance team. The successful candidate will design and evolve data models, partner with engineering teams, and implement data governance standards and patterns. The role is part-time and hybrid, with a location in Pittsburgh, PA, or Lake Mary, FL.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Data/Information Management, Computer Science, or related field
- 3-7+ years of experience in data architecture and data modeling, ideally within financial services or other highly regulated domains
- Strong data modeling skills (conceptual/logical/physical)
- Data governance expertise (data dictionary/business glossary, critical data elements, stewardship operating model, and data quality controls)
- End-to-end data lineage and metadata management experience
- Data product mindset
- Technical proficiency in SQL and experience with ETL/ELT and transformation frameworks
- Strong cross-functional influence and ability to lead without authority
