Vice President, Fixed Income and Equity Data Management Engineer

We're seeking a Vice President, Fixed Income and Equity Data Management Engineer to join our BUY SIDE TRADING BUSINESS as part of CAPITAL MARKETS team. This role is open in Boston, MA and New York, NY. The engineer will design, architect, and build a state-of-the-art platform to empower extensive reporting capabilities, research, and real-time analytics, in support of our new global, multi-asset trading organization.

Requirements

• Strong understanding of either Equities or Fixed Income trading workflows
• Solid understanding of market microstructure and OMS/EMS flows (FIX, order types, venue routing)
• Strong understanding of database schemas and structures
• Strong in Python and SQL coding
• FIX protocol/messaging knowledge
• Demonstrates proficiency in the design, development, and implementation of data, reporting and database technologies and tools
• Broad experience with multi-platform development tools and toolkits, especially open-source software
• Experience in formal Software Development Lifecycle and Agile methodologies for projects and problem resolution
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Good organization skills to coordinate and lead projects
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to come up with innovative solutions
