The Boeing Company is seeking an Associate System Safety Engineer to join our System Safety Engineering Team in Mesa, AZ. The role will involve assessing hazards across a broad range of Subsystems, developing System Safety Program Plans, and performing hazard analyses. The successful candidate will work across the entire program lifecycle, from conceptual development to design and test, production, and sustainment of fielded aircraft for both USG and International customers.
Requirements
- Evaluate customer specifications and regulations, and assess the design to develop safety requirements, constraints, and operating limits
- Develop System Safety Program Plans (SSPPs)
- Perform a variety of hazard analyses across the full product life cycle
- Review engineering design specifications, test and manufacturing operations, change proposals, anomaly reports, and deviation/waiver requests for potential safety impacts
- Collaborate with government, customer and program domain experts
- Prepare presentations, analyses, and reports for government/customer safety boards, program design reviews, and test/mission readiness reviews
- Develop proposals, work statements, and specifications affecting system safety engineering scope and budget
- Deliver oral and written system safety and risk presentations to peers, program management, senior leadership, customers, and regulatory agencies
