Senior Facilities Technician

We are looking for a Senior Facilities Technician to perform general preventive maintenance and corrective repairs on buildings, equipment, and systems. The role involves hands-on work with mechanical and electrical equipment, system troubleshooting, and inventory management.

Requirements

• Completion of 2-year technical school and/or 7+ years of experience working in building maintenance
• Extensive knowledge of HVAC equipment and building automation systems (BAS)
• Extensive knowledge of plumbing codes and repairs
• Knowledge of electrical wiring and telephone/data cabling and codes
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
• EPA Section 608 Certification (for HVAC refrigerant handling)
• OSHA 10/30 Safety Certification (general industry safety)
• Trade-specific licenses (electrical, plumbing, or HVAC, depending on local regulations)
• Extensive understanding with building management systems (BMS) and maintenance / facility service request software
• Knowledge of and ability to use basic hand tools
• Ability to climb a ladder
• Good interpersonal skills including oral and written communication skills
• Ability to work under pressure and adapt quickly to changing situations
• Ability to work with minimal supervision, make decisions, and take action
• Ability to operate a company vehicle
