Design Engineer - Electrical responsible for electrical and mechanical design, specification, and technical assurance of infrastructure systems for telecoms, enterprise, offshore, and venues programmes. Requires 5+ years M&E experience, degree in Electrical Engineering or closely related discipline, and strong working knowledge of UK design standards.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years' M&E experience in telecoms, wireless, or related infrastructure design
- Degree-qualified in Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a closely related discipline
- Strong working knowledge of UK design standards, including BS 7671, UK Building Regulations, BS 5266, BS 5839, BS EN 378, BS EN 16798, BS EN 50174, and BS EN 62305
- Demonstrable experience designing three-phase power systems, resilient architectures, and high-density cooling solutions for telecoms or mission-critical environments
- In-depth understanding of MNO equipment power and cooling requirements, including Transmission kit, BBUs, RRUs, and PSUs
- Proven capability producing technical specifications, detailed designs, and BOMs
- Experience acting as an internal technical authority, engaging directly with building engineers, landlords, and statutory bodies
- Skilled communicator with the ability to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders
