Requirements
- Ensure design solutions meet stress performance specifications, applicable airworthiness regulations, and industry best practice.
- Review and approve dispositions of production support engineering and substantiate repairs to demonstrate required stress performance, and compliance with applicable airworthiness regulations.
- Execute intermediate to highly complex Stress engineering assignments requiring familiarity with several fields of engineering.
- Perform various stress analyses of static strength, fatigue, damage tolerance and finite element model (FEM) analysis for composite and/or metallic structures.
- Identify design risks and weight reduction opportunities.
- Support concept generation and structural optimization by guiding engineers as they model the structure.
