Job Description
Bombardier is seeking a Senior Professional, Engineering, Certification to represent regulatory authority for approval of new aircraft models, product improvement, and ongoing product safety. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in engineering and 8-10 years of experience in the aerospace industry.
Requirements
- Represent regulatory authority for approval of new aircraft models, product improvement, and ongoing product safety
- Work with the certification team and support them to ensure key leadership for maintaining safety, certification, and certification of Bombardier products
- Organize and direct the logistics of internal/external certification activities
- Provide advice and coordinate the closure of authority documents
- Ensure liaison and coordination of activities with government certification authorities and provide regulatory and strategic advice to other Bombardier disciplines
- Collect and eliminate lessons learned with knowledge domains to implement them in new product development projects
- Lead and coordinate the development of solutions for complex certification issues by leveraging Bombardier's transformation and engineering system (BES)
- Perform cost-justification analyses and approximate work statements for technical studies and aircraft studies, taking into account multidisciplinary contributions
- Support the development of compliance means, including new or innovative regulatory interpretations
- Prepare/support company comments on proposed modification proposals (PMPs)
- Technical directives for the Program Review Committee, Contract Support, Customer Support, and Corrective Action (CARB) committees
- Support the safety team in the execution of safety, reliability, and climate control processes
- Multidisciplinary alignment for triage, the Corrective Action Review Board (CARB), and aircraft-on-ground (AOG) issues as needed
- Work with Bombardier management on the program change request (PCR) process, cycle times, and optimized solutions
