Referral Coordinator

The Referral Coordinator is a key liaison between the Retina Vue Examination program and patients, coordinating referrals and ensuring timely scheduling. This role involves managing patient reports, securing authorizations, and proactively communicating with providers to resolve outstanding issues. The position requires strong customer service and proficiency in computer systems.

Requirements

• Schedule referral appointments with external providers within 7 to 14 business days.
• Secure managed care authorizations for referral services.
• Follow up with external providers to confirm receipt of patient reports.
• Maintain accurate logs matching received reports to scheduled referrals.
• Communicate with the primary care provider if referred appointments are not attended.
• Prepare and submit weekly referral reports.
