Application Database Analyst

This position is responsible for the administration, performance, integrity, and security of SQL databases and associated enterprise applications.

Requirements

• Analyze business functions and work processes to determine technical and reporting needs.
• Administer, monitor, and optimize Microsoft SQL Server databases including backups, restores, performance tuning, indexing, and security configuration.
• Develop queries, reports, database extracts, and data models utilizing SQL, Power BI, and other reporting tools.
• Test and debug database-related processes and identify system improvements.
• Provide analysis and limited development support for enterprise application packages.
• Maintain consistency and reliability of applications by enforcing standards and procedures.
• Identify system capability and capacity issues and recommend solutions.
• Define requirements, develop specifications, and document processes for new and existing applications.
• Provide training and assistance to users on reporting tools and data interpretation.
• Support integrations between enterprise systems (ERP, CIS, GIS, SCADA, financial systems).
• Participate in system upgrades, disaster recovery planning, and testing.
• Other duties as assigned
