Plant Maintenance Technician - East Water Reclamation Facility

Under general supervision, performs skilled work in the maintenance and repair of equipment in the wastewater plant, relying on experience and independent judgment to determine the best approach.

Requirements

• Install, maintain, replace and/or repair various electrical/mechanical components and equipment
• Inspect and evaluate equipment to provide recommendations concerning maintenance and repair needs
• Performs preventive maintenance on machinery and components according to assigned schedules
• Fabricates with welding, brazing and cutting torches
• Troubleshoots electrical, mechanical and manual control systems
• Inspection of mechanical equipment in the well fields
• Operates various hand-held gas and electrically powered tools
• Provides preventive maintenance to machinery and equipment through cleaning, lubrication and calibration
• Performs minor repair, clean-up or other in-house projects as assigned
• Safeguards all assigned tools, equipment and electronics from theft, loss, destruction and/or negligence
• Ensures assigned vehicles and equipment are properly cleaned and maintained
• Other duties as assigned
