Job Description
Boom is building hardware fast and needs a Manufacturing Engineer to design, build, and evolve its internal machining capability from the ground up. The ideal candidate has experience as a Manufacturing Engineer in a machining-heavy environment, strong understanding of CNC machining processes, and hands-on experience designing fixtures and tooling.
Requirements
- Design, stand up, and scale Boom's internal machining operation
- Define shop operating rhythms, standard work, and manufacturing execution structures
- Own manufacturing readiness for machined parts
- Lead 5S and cell design efforts
- Partner directly with machinists and quality personnel
- Drive real-time resolution of machining, quality, and throughput issues
- Own design for manufacturing and work hand in hand with engineering
- Develop fixturing, tooling, and workholding strategies
- Support New Product Introduction (NPI)
