As a data scientist at Booz Allen, you can help turn complex data sets into useful information to solve global challenges. You'll work closely with clients to understand their questions and needs, and then dig into their data-rich environments to find the pieces of their information puzzle. You'll provide a deep understanding of the data, what it all means, and how it can be used.
Requirements
- 1+ years of experience with data analysis, including recognizing and investigating data quality, interpreting data types, and discerning structure and relationships within data
- 1+ years of experience with data visualization, including creating understandable charts with basic design principles, and application development and design
- 1+ years of experience with data pipeline engineering, including executing data transformation stages, and database normalization
- Experience in building or maintaining data pipelines
- Experience with programming languages, including Python, R, or SQL, for data manipulation and analysis
- Ability to develop and maintain interactive dashboards and visualizations in Foundry or Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik to communicate data insights to business stakeholders
- Ability to collaborate with business analysts or users to clarify requirements and work closely with different business groups to comprehend and respond to their reporting and dashboard needs
- Ability to be self-motivated and pay strict attention to detail
- Ability to obtain a Secret clearance
