Operational Excellence Intern

The Operational Excellence Intern will assist in supporting and advancing continuous improvement initiatives across the organization, applying Lean principles, data-driven problem solving, and process optimization techniques to enhance product quality and operational performance.

Requirements

• Current full-time enrollment in an accredited college, university, vocational/trade school
• Ability to report onsite at least three days to our Auburn Hills Campus
• Must be able to commit to a minimum of one year; this is a temporary position, and the duration is subject to business needs
• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Industrial, Mechatronic, or Electrical Engineering or Computer Science, or a related field
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI)
• Familiarity with Python, C++ or Java, & SQL, familiarity with Ignition a plus
• Capable of taking feedback from various sources and developing a ground-up solution that solves production issues
