Job Description
Box is seeking an Engineering Manager II to lead a Launchpad Engineering team focused on design system, accessibility, internationalization, and in-app guidance. This role involves driving product experience improvements, improving UI consistency, reducing maintenance costs, and mentoring junior engineers. The team will work with various internal and external stakeholders to deliver business impact and showcase Box's platform for secure content management.
Requirements
- People-first engineering leader with 3+ years managing front-end or platform teams.
- 6–8+ years total software experience.
- Strong technical judgment in modern UI engineering (React/TypeScript), design systems, accessibility standards, and i18n/l10n.
- Proven track record shipping and evolving shared platforms.
- Experienced in setting vision and roadmaps, translating partner needs into scalable platform capabilities.
- Skilled coach for mixed-experience teams.
- Effective stakeholder manager.
- Data-informed decision maker.
- Fluent in English.
