Job Description
Braintrust is seeking a Head of Legal to join their rapidly scaling sales and customer base. The role involves drafting and negotiating commercial agreements (SaaS, on-prem, NDAs), ensuring compliance with data privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA), and building a scalable legal function. It's a hands-on position supporting sales, product, and engineering teams.
Requirements
- JD from an accredited law school and admitted to the bar in California (or authorized to practice law in another state)
- 5–8 years of relevant legal experience
- Extensive experience with enterprise software agreements and technology transactions
- Strong grounding in data privacy and regulatory frameworks
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to balance legal risk with business objectives
- Comfort operating as a team
