Job Description
The Principal Engineer is a technical and business leader at Braun Intertec Corporation responsible for leading and guiding technical practice, mentoring and developing staff, and participating in internal and external technical organizations. This role is focused on analyzing soft/weak soils and working with contractors and designers in the field to implement geotechnical design.
Requirements
- Manages highly complex projects
- Provides technical review and project management support
- Prepares and makes decisions for major proposals and contracts
- Prepares complex engineering reports
- Performs engineering analysis using company and industry methodologies and standards
- Interfaces with federal and state regulatory authorities
- Develops and delivers client presentations
- Understands and manages client needs
- Develops and maintains internal and external client relationships
- Reviews drawings supplied by vendors, clients, engineers, and architects
- Review engineering work of others and technical reports
- Identifies complex problems/possible solutions and takes action to resolve
- Manages project teams including engineering and field support personnel
- Leads, mentors, manages, and develops technical staff
