The Aircraft Systems Engineer is responsible for developing repairs and alterations, defining maintenance specifications, evaluating new System technologies, and the technical airworthiness management of aircraft systems and related components on the Airbus and Embraer aircraft. The successful candidate will have excellent critical thinking and decision-making skills and a solid understanding of best practices.
Requirements
- 4-year degree in Engineering with Avionics/Electrical or Systems concentration and/or equivalent working experience
- 7+ years of engineering experience relating to Aircraft Systems modification, troubleshooting, and repair
- Knowledgeable in the aircraft systems architecture and software requirements for Flight Management Systems
- 5+ years of experience in technical report writing skills to prepare test plans, test results, Aircraft Systems troubleshooting and analysis, and regulatory compliance reports
- Working knowledge of 14 CFR Part 21, 25, 91, and 121 regulatory requirements
- 2+ years of experience working in a Part 121 environment
- Knowledge of Embraer and Airbus aircraft avionics and systems
