Job Description
BRICK Networks seeks to hire Special Education teachers with a passion for working with underserved black and brown students and families. The ideal candidate is solution-oriented, data-driven, and culturally competent, with a strong ability to communicate and collaborate with colleagues, students, and families.
Requirements
- Proficiency in working with black and brown students from diverse economic and cultural backgrounds
- Cultural competence and knowledge of best practices to support students of various social-economic experiences
- Creating and maintaining a positive, safe, and collaborative classroom environment
- Executing the network adopted unit and lesson plans to accelerate student learning and social emotional development
- Utilizing data from student observations and assessments to inform instruction
- Adjusting instruction to meet the unique needs of students
- Teaching and enforcing school-wide systems and structures
- Participating in whole school events and home visits
