Job Description
We are looking for a Sr. Hadoop Developer to join our team and work on development projects related to commerce and web analytics. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Hadoop and experience with Java, Python, and SQL.
Requirements
- Design and implement map reduce jobs using Java, Cascading, Python, Hive, and Pig
- Build libraries, user defined functions, and frameworks around Hadoop
- Research and evaluate new technologies/tools/frameworks around Hadoop ecosystem
- Develop user defined functions to provide custom Hive and Pig capabilities
- Define and build data acquisitions and consumption strategies
- Work with support teams to resolve operational and performance issues
- Work with architecture/engineering leads and other teams on capacity planning
