Senior Software Engineer - Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES)

Bright Machines is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join their team. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be responsible for defining and implementing the systems that make Software Defined Manufacturing possible. You will take ownership of features and small projects across our factory software stack and collaborate with cross-functional partners to drive technical direction and innovation.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience
• Bachelor degree (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
• Proficiency in at least two frameworks, languages, or technologies in our stack (Python, FastAPI, TypeScript, React, Vue, PostgreSQL, Kubernetes)
• Demonstrated ability to independently design and ship features in a production environment
• Experience conducting code reviews and contributing to engineering standards
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Track record of working effectively both independently and as part of a cross-functional team
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders (product, ops, or hardware teams)
