Computational Scientist for SMaHT Project

The Broad Institute is seeking a Computational Scientist to lead data curation and analyses for the Somatic Mosaicism across Human Tissues (SMaHT) Network. The successful candidate will oversee experimental work plans, pipelines for data processing, and analysis, and contribute to budgetary and operational considerations. They will also communicate scientific details, results, and strategic considerations to the team and the SMaHT network.

Requirements

• PhD in Genomics, Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Computer Science, Statistics, Math, or a related quantitative field
• 2+ years of industry experience
• Experience with computational analysis, algorithm development, and statistics
• Proven track record of leading complex data curation or analysis projects
• Deep sequencing expertise, pipeline development, and cloud computing experience
