Job Description
Broadcom is seeking a R&D Engineer Software 3 to research and develop innovative new solutions to shape the future direction of Broadcom's IT management software. The role involves working in a scrum team in an agile development environment, maintaining and designing code running on mainframe products, and participating in code reviews and test plan reviews. The ideal candidate will have a strong computer science background, be dynamic in thought, adaptable in style, and brave enough to think outside the box.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in software development
- BA/BS in Computer Science or equivalent degree
- Prior experience as a mainframe software developer
- Expertise in IBM Assembler on z/OS, z/OS Language Environment (LE)
- Experience with ASM, Pyhton language
- Expertise with unit testing frameworks
- Experience working in mainframe environments - zOS, TSO, JCL
- Experience with mainframe programming languages - Assembler, C, C++, Metal cL, COBOL, REXX
