Analyst, Investor Relations

Brookfield Energy is looking for an Analyst, Investor Relations who will report to the Senior Vice President, Investor Relations. This position is located in our Toronto office. You will support the group in presenting its business, strategy and operations to both external and internal stakeholders.

Requirements

• At least two years of relevant work experience with an undergraduate university degree preferably in finance, business or economics;
• Solid understanding and interest in financial markets and energy sector
• Preference for working towards or completion of a professional designation (CPA/CA; CFA)
• A solid understanding of private equity investment structures, basic financial reporting metrics, institutional investors
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with a particular strength in dealing with a wide variety of individuals at various levels within and outside of the organization
• Self-motivated, proactive and demonstrates initiative
• Advanced quantitative and analytical abilities
• Strong organizational skills and extreme attention to detail
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to handle confidential and non-routine information
• Team player with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated capacity to juggle multiple competing tasks and demands
