As a Herps - Animal Care Specialist (Seasonal) at Brookfield Zoo Chicago, you will contribute to the success of the zoo by providing high-quality care for the welfare of the collection, maintaining buildings, grounds, and interpretives, and informing, assisting, and directing guests.

Requirements

• Experience working with reptiles and amphibians in a captive setting preferred
• Experience building and maintaining small aquatic systems also preferred
• High school graduate or GED equivalent required
• Valid driver’s license required
• English fluency at a professional working proficiency
• Cultural proficiency
• Ability to work with live animals safely
• Good interpersonal and communications skills
• Knowledge of natural history, zoology, or animal husbandry preferred
