Deputy Division Director, Technical Systems, EIC

The Electron-Ion Collider (EIC) seeks a Deputy Division Director, Technical Systems. In this role, you will report to the Division Director for Technical Systems, EIC. The Technical Systems Division (TSD) is responsible for the engineering, design, procurement, fabrication, assembly, installation, and testing of particle accelerator and storage ring components and systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Physics or a related discipline.
• 10+ years of relevant technical experience, including a minimum of 6 years’ management/ leadership experience.
• Experience within scientific, aerospace, defense, or manufacturing environment.
• Experience in management, design, procurement, fabrication, installation, commissioning, and maintenance of particle accelerator systems or other similar large scientific projects.
• Experience with the management, oversight, and coordination of a variety of scientific, engineering, and technical staff for design, fabrication, assembly, testing, and installation of complex systems and equipment.
• Experience as a supervisor including hiring, mentoring and performance management.
