Stationary Engineer

Brookhaven National Laboratory is seeking a driven and dedicated Stationary Engineer to join the Energy & Utilities Division. The successful candidate will play a vital role in powering one of the world's leading research institutions. The position involves operating, maintaining, and repairing heat generation equipment, facilities, and auxiliary equipment within the BNL Central Steam Facility.

Requirements

• Minimum of 7 years prior experience as an operator/watch stander in the operation and maintenance of high-pressure steam plants and plant controls
• Bachelor of Science in marine engineering or similar technical degree
• Ability to learn and maintain a thorough understanding of the operation and control of the boilers
• Strong decision-making skills and the ability to respond to a complex set of circumstances
