Job Description
Tutors work in the Academic Success Center (ASC) or assigned department to help students better understand course concepts, become independent learners, and succeed in and out of the classroom. In addition, the tutor will share learning, studying, and test-taking strategies and perform some clerical duties to support the functions of the ASC.
Requirements
- Advanced levels and proficiency in the subject areas to be tutored
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include evening and weekend assignments
- Ability to work with students from diverse educational, cultural, religious, and social backgrounds
- Must be available to work a minimum of 10-hours weekly
