Civil Engineer (water treatment and conveyance)

Brown and Caldwell has an exciting opportunity for a Civil or Environmental Engineer experienced in planning, permitting, civil site grading, drainage analysis, and design of water and wastewater treatment and conveyance systems. The ideal candidate would have 4-8 years of civil engineering experience in the areas of civil site work, water and wastewater conveyance or treatment and have a desire to take the next step in their career through supporting task leadership, project management, and client interaction.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
• Minimum 4 years of increasingly responsible experience in municipal civil engineering with focus in the municipal sector
• Strong understanding of civil site design, water/wastewater infrastructure systems including pumping, treatment, and conveyance
• Working knowledge of environmental laws such as the Clean Water Act, Safe Drinking Water Act and related permitting frameworks
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite of products
• Strong verbal communication and presentation skills
• Ability and desire to work on multiple concurrent projects in a team environment
• Ability to collaborate with remote virtual project teams
